What you need to Know about ReCore
Posted on August 23, 2016 at 8:20 am
ReCore is an upcoming action and adventure game that is set to be released on the 13th of September (not too long now). If you’re considering what game you may want to buy next, this one has a lot to offer and many people are talking about it.
The game will be released on Microsoft (PC) and on Xbox One, so unlucky for PS4 only gamers, as this will be one you’ll be missing.
It is based around a member of a volunteer group for the “Far Eden” colony, called Joule Adams. After waking up from Cryo Sleep into a distopian future where it seems that nothing has gone to plan, you set out on an adventure in order to save humanity from its terrible fate.
Along with you on your journey is a companion robot/dog. This is the “Core” that gives the game its namesake, as the companion is really the core, which is then able to manipulate its robotic limbs in order to move around, help you navigate through tricky terrain, and fight monsters.

Battlefield 1 Release
Posted on July 21, 2016 at 1:38 pm
The upcoming battlefield game is set to be released in the UK on the 21st of October 2016; just 3 months away. It is being looked forward to by many gamers, and this time, this feature of the Battlefield franchise may finally give some real competition to the COD franchise (in terms of sales).
Battlefield 1 is, of course, not the first in the Battlefield series; the name is due to it taking place in WW1. It goes to three separate locations throughout the game; Urban France, the Arabian Desert, and the Italian Alps. This gives a pretty good spread of the types of battles that were taking place in the not quite the war to end all wars.
WW1 was famous for being one of the first real examples of a new age in warfare. Prior to this, most wars in developed countries took place on horseback and with the occasional artillery team. During World War 1, we saw the introduction of Machine Guns into large wars for the first time, fighter planes, zephyrs and more. During the game, you will get to experience all of that and more.

Awaiting the No Man’s Sky Release
Posted on June 21, 2016 at 3:16 pm
If you’re a fan of exploration/survival games and Xbox consoles, No Man’s Sky may be the first ever good reason to switch over to PS4. Or you could do the better option and just buy a gaming PC.
Anyway, No Man’s Sky is a game that will be released on 9th of August, after a fairly long wait. The first inkling of the game came out well over a year ago, and it promised an experience that no other game has yet to offer. It is easily the largest world in which to play, to the point where it is as close to the size of the actual universe as it is possible to be.
The game is an MMO, although the developers say that the actual multiplayer experience is unlikely to be prevalent, due to the scale of the environment. Basically, the chances of you actually coming across anybody are infinitesimal.

The Re-Release of Doom
Posted on May 19, 2016 at 1:34 pm
If you were to ask most adult gamers what one of the most iconic shoot ’em ups ever created, the answer would undoubtedly be Doom. The originals took place on Mars following a failed experiment, with animals and people mutating into these very powerful and manic monsters. It was known to be an exceedingly bloody game that took the concept of gore within games to the next level. It was a very fun and challenging game, and those who remember it fondly may well be pleased to hear about the release of a remake.
Remakes often get a bad rap on account of the wholesale changes that often get made. It stands to reason that a remake will have a number of substantial differences, but even among those who welcome a remake, what they are after is a game that very much follows a similar vein as the original. They want to essentially re-experience the feelings that the original engendered in them, which is a difficult goal to meet, on account of how the gaming population has been exposed to so much since the original release of Doom, and people are very much desensitised to what was attractive about the game.
The new game has already started to garner some critical acclaim, with the reception mostly positive. Once you’ve gotten past the part where you’re expecting a game that you’ll love as much as the original, you can really start to appreciate the mindless fun of, for instance, using a chain to grind into a charging monster.
The game was only released very recently, so if you wanted to be one of the early adopters of the game and get acquainted with the multiplayer aspect of it as soon as possible, you still have time!

Exclusive Xbox Games for 2016
Posted on April 22, 2016 at 3:53 pm
2016 looks like it is going to be another great year for the Xbox gamers around the world, as games like Gears of War and Quantum Break are set to be released this year. In addition to these, the ones you’ve probably heard of, we’ve found a few others that could be worth keeping your eye on.
- We will be having a sequel to the Halo spinoff, Halo Wars with Halo Wars 2.
- Recore looks like it will be a fairly unique game, involving robotics and possession.
- Sea of Thieves is a pirate themed multiplayer adventure, where you can travel with other players committing acts of piracy as you travel the globe.
- Crackdown 3 is a pretty big release with equally big explosions, with the game taking place in a destroyable world, where you can blow up virtually everything. It’s a third person shooter as well, so if that’s your style it could be for you.
