What do we Know About Red Dead Redemption 2?
Posted on December 30, 2017 at 10:16 pm
Some critics thought that we might have Red Dead Redemption available to buy already. That’s not the case – it has now been revealed that the game will not be out until spring 2018. It is going to be released for PS4 and Xbox One, but what else do we know about this mysterious new release?
It is going to be the sequel to Red Dead Redemption and it is going to stick with the wild west theme. Other than that though, we know very little and much of the information been thrown around has arisen from the trailer. This shows that the game may well use an open world format and there will be a new main character called Arthur Morgan.
We also know that the game will have both single and multiplayer modes, similar to Grand Theft Auto 5. However, we don’t now how much other characters will feature and whose story the game will follow.

Top Video Games of 2017

There are still some great games to come – game developers won’t miss a trick and will certainly be releasing some around Christmas. We have already seen some great new games coming onto the market though, so here are some top games from the year so far:
- Sniper Elite 4. A vivid WWII shooter game, it is both engrossing and a little bit gory. The mechanics behind the game are excellent and there are many moves for a user to explore. The game is PS4 and Xbox One and was developed by Rebellion.
- The Surge. Players take on the character of Warren, an employee in a future-world factory. It is an adventure game with plenty of combat opportunities, seeing Warren battling zombie workers and security guards. It is available on PS4, Xbox One and PC from developers Deck13 Interactive.
- Tokyo 42. People can live forever, but you are an assassin in the Tokyo of the future. It’s well presented and engaging. Play is on PS4, PC and Xbox One. It’s developed by SMAC Games.

Can Nintendo Keep Up with Demand?
Posted on October 28, 2017 at 4:57 pm
Nintendo fans hoping to get hold of the Nintendo Switch console in the coming months could have some trouble on their hands. Reports that have come out recently suggest that Nintendo might be struggling to keep up with demand for the console, especially at this time of year with Christmas on the way. Whilst this is good and shows that sales are very strong for the console, it could also be a major frustration for shoppers. Could this potentially be damaging for Nintendo’s reputation?
Nintendo have been sticking to a clear games release strategy – release a major title every few months to boost demand but keep people wanting more. With the new Super Mario adventure’s release, the consoles are more popular than ever. In fact, Super Mario Odyssey is likely to be one of the biggest games of 2017. Nintendo are reportedly going to be producing more consoles, so perhaps the situation will rectify itself.

Are We Getting any Closer to Knowing the PS5 Release Date?
Posted on September 1, 2017 at 1:40 pm
Speculation is rife about Sony’s new PlayStation 5 and when it might hit the shelves in the UK. A new theory is now in the mix from a leading analyst, who claims the PS5 could be released as soon as 2018. This theory comes from the same man who predicted the release of the PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro, so it could be worth taking into consideration. After all, Sony have some big competition, with the upcoming release of the Xbox One Pro later this year.
However, most experts are still betting on a 2019 or 2020 release date. This is mostly due to technology and the prevalence of 4K televisions on the market. They will be much more widely used by then and it could be advantageous for Sony to wait until general technology has caught up with theirs. Until then, let’s keep watching for more news and see if Sony themselves make any comments.
