The storyline focuses on two girls, Maddie & Tara, who trip to a mysterious village called Eysenfield as part of a paranormal vlog assignment.  Things take a dangerous turn when they are swept up in a supernatural crisis that will change Maddie & Tara’s forever.

Is Live Streaming Breaking Copyright Law?

Posted on May 18, 2018 at 7:14 am

For years now, many gamers have become professionals and started to make a living by streaming their gaming live online. This is so that other people can watch, learn and be entertained, and it is a popular pastime for many. Some people even earn their living this way, and if not their whole living, they make a very decent amount of money from it.

If you are a live streamer, what you might not actually know is that an algorithm could shut you down due to copyright laws. If the service thinks you are breaking copyright law, your streaming can be suspended immediately. Many users are saying that this is also leading to months of being banned.

So should you stay away from live video game streaming? There seems to be some hypocrisy there, with some people claiming that the big players, who get the platforms lots of popularity, are not being banned. It’s still a work in progress and people are unsure how it will work out.

The games industry is reported to be growing continually, and 2017 sales were up on 2016 sales quite dramatically. This is despite rising inflation and falling wages – people still continue to play games, and it is testament to the quality of some of the games that have recently been release. These were some of the top performing games of the year that kept the calibre high:

  • FIFA 18 from Electronic Arts – the football simulation game that never gets old. Fans got excited about this newest addition to the FIFA family, which was released in September for Windows, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
  • Call of Duty WWII from Rockstar/ Take 2 – Call of Duty got highly realistic with the release of its gritty WWII title back in November. It can be played on PlayStation and Xbox One.
  • Grand Theft Auto V – released back in 2013, this is still proving popular amongst fans of the action adventure franchise. You can play it on PlayStation, Xbox and Windows.

Top Video Games of 2017

Posted on November 26, 2017 at 12:18 pm

There are still some great games to come – game developers won’t miss a trick and will certainly be releasing some around Christmas. We have already seen some great new games coming onto the market though, so here are some top games from the year so far:

  • Sniper Elite 4. A vivid WWII shooter game, it is both engrossing and a little bit gory. The mechanics behind the game are excellent and there are many moves for a user to explore. The game is PS4 and Xbox One and was developed by Rebellion.
  • The Surge. Players take on the character of Warren, an employee in a future-world factory. It is an adventure game with plenty of combat opportunities, seeing Warren battling zombie workers and security guards. It is available on PS4, Xbox One and PC from developers Deck13 Interactive.
  • Tokyo 42. People can live forever, but you are an assassin in the Tokyo of the future. It’s well presented and engaging. Play is on PS4, PC and Xbox One. It’s developed by SMAC Games.

Can Nintendo Keep Up with Demand?

Posted on October 28, 2017 at 4:57 pm

Nintendo fans hoping to get hold of the Nintendo Switch console in the coming months could have some trouble on their hands. Reports that have come out recently suggest that Nintendo might be struggling to keep up with demand for the console, especially at this time of year with Christmas on the way. Whilst this is good and shows that sales are very strong for the console, it could also be a major frustration for shoppers. Could this potentially be damaging for Nintendo’s reputation?

Nintendo have been sticking to a clear games release strategy – release a major title every few months to boost demand but keep people wanting more. With the new Super Mario adventure’s release, the consoles are more popular than ever. In fact, Super Mario Odyssey is likely to be one of the biggest games of 2017. Nintendo are reportedly going to be producing more consoles, so perhaps the situation will rectify itself.
