Yearly Roundup: The Best Games of 2018

Posted on December 31, 2018 at 1:50 pm

As one year draws to a close and another begins, it’s the ideal time to reflect on the best games of the year. There have been some great games that we have all loved playing – here are some of the best:

  • Battletech. A robot game that feels different to some of the others, Battletech is very strategic. You will need to complete missions, some of which are very difficult. It is available on Windows and OS X.
  • Far Cry 5. This new Ubisoft shooter is set in the Midwest, with a range of new weapons to use (including a bear) and intriguing gameplay that will keep you guessing. It’s available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
  • Graveyard Keeper. This is a farming simulation game with a twist – and quite a dark one. It’s about keeping a graveyard, and it’s difficult to master. You can play it on Windows and Xbox One console.

What do we Know About Red Dead Redemption 2?

Posted on December 30, 2017 at 10:16 pm

Some critics thought that we might have Red Dead Redemption available to buy already. That’s not the case – it has now been revealed that the game will not be out until spring 2018. It is going to be released for PS4 and Xbox One, but what else do we know about this mysterious new release?

It is going to be the sequel to Red Dead Redemption and it is going to stick with the wild west theme. Other than that though, we know very little and much of the information been thrown around has arisen from the trailer. This shows that the game may well use an open world format and there will be a new main character called Arthur Morgan.

We also know that the game will have both single and multiplayer modes, similar to Grand Theft Auto 5. However, we don’t now how much other characters will feature and whose story the game will follow.

How Has Grand Theft Auto Maintained its Popularity?

Posted on July 17, 2017 at 10:56 pm

Grand Theft Auto is without a doubt one of the most popular gaming franchises of all time. How have they retained such a high level of success? The game series always seems to stay ahead of the market and to accurately predict what consumers want. It has a total of fifteen titles now, including London 1969, Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City Stories and Chinatown Wars, and the series is expanding all the time.

At first glance, it might not seem all that different to other video games. It is available for all the major consoles, the story is set in the adventure and action genre, and there is a lot of violence. However, the level of detail makes it really stand out and this is something that gamers really appreciate as being quite unique. Each title is so carefully considered and features missions, sub-plot missions and a great depth of character.

What you need to Know about ReCore

Posted on August 23, 2016 at 8:20 am

ReCore is an upcoming action and adventure game that is set to be released on the 13th of September (not too long now). If you’re considering what game you may want to buy next, this one has a lot to offer and many people are talking about it.

The game will be released on Microsoft (PC) and on Xbox One, so unlucky for PS4 only gamers, as this will be one you’ll be missing.

It is based around a member of a volunteer group for the “Far Eden” colony, called Joule Adams. After waking up from Cryo Sleep into a distopian future where it seems that nothing has gone to plan, you set out on an adventure in order to save humanity from its terrible fate.

Along with you on your journey is a companion robot/dog. This is the “Core” that gives the game its namesake, as the companion is really the core, which is then able to manipulate its robotic limbs in order to move around, help you navigate through tricky terrain, and fight monsters.
